Richard Hawley May Be Batman!
Richard in his get up
Following many recent stories involving sightings of St Neots own superhero, we have been told by a not very reliable source that the crimefighting hero is none other than crooning popstrel, Richard Hawley. "Richard has impressed us all with his velvety tones," Said local coddling saleswoman, Amy, "but no one could imagine he gets up to this sort of business in his spare time! Although he did give us a clue with his famous song 'Born Under The Bat Sign'"
HEDGE HUNTERS 2013!
Foragers, you can get your Kath Kidston wellies out again, as the days of hunting in hedges for your 'food' are back! No longer restricted to late summer when families 'delight' in hunting for blackberries and not sure what else down leafy lanes, now you can join in with the St Neots HEDGE HUNTERS 2013 all year round.
Inspired by seeing an unkempt fellow looking for cider in a hedge, we at the St Neots Liar have started planning our own foraging outfit. A spokesperson said, "unfortunately the Halcyon Days of hunting after school behind the Longsands Pavillion are over. In those days you could easily find cricket bats, hockey sticks, javelins and discusses whenever you liked. If you were really lucky you'd find a camp where you'd be certain to find packets of B & H with some in, a copy of Fiesta and maybe a jonnie! Best of all you could kick the camp in!"
Those were indeed the days, and while the availability of nakedity on the internet means finding jazzmags in hedges is sadly more or less confined to history, plastic bottles of cheap cider and cans with a little bit of flat lager left in are readily available. JOIN HEDGE HUNTERS 2013 NOW!
